Delta Chapter's

100th Anniversary Celebration

" As a member of Arethusa, I was delighted to be a part of the sorority's 100th Anniversary Celebration on October 14-16, 1994. It was wonderful to see over 150 of our sisters come together with the same purpose, to celebrate the centennial year of the Delta Chapter of Arethusa at our College.

The weekend started off with the
Welcome Cocktail Party at the Fox. Members of a wide range of years mingled and shared favorite stories. Two White Rose Ball queens from the 60's and the 70's laughed upon meeting each other.

Saturday brought the
Gala Dinner Dance in the Hunt Union Ballroom. An amazing number of sisters lined up in front of the stage for the group photograph.

Special guests for the evening included
Diane W. Davidson, Director of Alumni Affairs, and Colleen Brannan , Assistant Dean of Students, who presented the sorority with a commemorative plaque. Other honored quests included former housemother Betty Lou Polley, Dr. Jane Grastorf, and Mr. Martin Kaye, who was named an Honorary Sigma Gamma Phi Dad. The evening included heartfelt words, our favorite songs, and dancing .

The highlight of the evening was when the oldest sister present,
Helen Herzog Humphrey '29, joined the youngest sister in attendance,
Elizabeth Ann Archibald '97, in cutting the birthday cake.

The weekend came to a close on Sunday morning with the
'Till We Meet Again Champagne Brunch at Cathedral Farms.

Special thanks go to
Tania Mouscardy Johnson '84, Ilysa Lukin '92,
Diana Petrat Franzini '85, and Melissa Rogers D'Angelo '84.
Without the hard work of these sisters, this weekend would not have been possible.
Love in 'A'. "
