Arethusa Convocation 2001 at Oneonta |

|
Hugs, tears, and promises to keep in touch were the highlights of the Arethusa Convocation held in Oneonta on October 20, 2001. The Kappa Colony piled in a van and drove till 3am to meet the women of the Delta chapter to celebrate sisterhood and share new ideas for improving their sorority experiences. |

Some of the sessions included membership, Risk Management and a session on the Laurel New Membership Program. The highlight of our weekend was the sing along where Delta and Kappa recorded some of their favorite songs that will be coming to the Arethusa online Jukebox. A candle ceremony for Chrissy VanLengen, Kappa sister, ended the day making the departure that much sweeter for all sisters. |

The sisters all agreed that the convocation was helpful for communicating new ideas, and learning new songs. They liked meeting other sisters which they shared was rare for both chapters, and they wished the Gammas and Iotas were present. The sisters would like to make this convocation an annual event like it was before the 50’s and hope to include alumnae in the future. |
