Arethusa Convocation 2006 at Geneseo |

|
The Third Convocation in “modern times” of the Arethusa Sorority took place in November of 2006 at SUNY Geneseo. Workshops on budgeting, sister bonding, alumnae issues, rush issues, non-hazing recruitment, and leadership were conducted over three days. A great deal of positive feedback was received during the convocation. It was exciting to see all the girls so involved and wanting more for the next convocation. The girls all enjoyed learning more about how they could become a closer chapter and how listening makes a difference. With a push on Potsdam and Geneseo to stop practices that were considered hazing, the girls learned new methods to effectually educate new members through the use of the Laurel New Membership Program. It was decided that the next convocation be held this fall at Potsdam and the following year at Fredonia. Dates will be out soon. We look forward to more sisters attending and more fun. - Corinne West, 2006 Convocation Coordinator
